On Tuesday October 8, 2019 the Windthorst Volunteer Fire Department and the Scotland Volunteer Fire Department worked together to provide a fire safety fair for the elementary students. Many important lessons about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and how to contact emergency services were taught. In addition to the learning, each student received a backpack with lots of great fire safety tips and fun to take home and share with the family. The students were also treated to a little fun from spraying water, to smashing pumpkins and escaping the smoke house. A big thank you to these volunteers that took off from their regular jobs to come and teach our students the importance of fire safety
