All 4 of my kids attend or have attended WISD too. I’ve been married to my husband  David since 1997 and we have successfully converted him to be a true Windthorstian as  well! I started working for WISD as a substitute teacher around 18 years ago when I was  a stay-at-home mom. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from about the age of 16 when my  high school Geometry teacher said she thought I’d be a good teacher after watching me  “teach” a lesson in class (btw, I stunk at math!) After a lot of living and growing, I graduated(finally!) in 2011 from Midwestern  State University—it was one of the most memorable days of my life. My first three years at  WISD I enjoyed working with the junior high and high school doing remediation, ESL, and  high school English until moving to 4th and 5th grade. I absolutely loved my 4th and 5th graders! The 2021 school year had another change in store for me as I moved to 3rd grade where I am finding I love the kids just as much! In  my free time when I’m not watching my kids in their endeavors, I love to read, spend time  outdoors on my patio or in my flowerbeds, and travel any chance I can. I consider myself  truly blessed to live and work in the community where God put me.
